Parakram Diwas- Eve of 125th Birth Anniversary of an iconic Freedom Fighter “Netaji” – PM Modi tributed

23 Jan 2021– India is celebrating the birth anniversary of a great National Hero of our country- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who sacrificed and contributed a lot to the Independence Movement of our country.

To inspire the people of our nation and to make them realize the greatness and contributions of such patriots to our country, the Indian Government decided to celebrate 23 January as “Parakram Diwas” every year to mark the birth anniversary of ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’.

Netaji is an iconic freedom fighter and remembered for his great role in the Independence Movement against the British rule in India. On the journey lot of times, he was got arrested, then released, and was rearrested by the British authorities. But what inspires us about him is that- He never gave up, Netaji continued his struggle for the country. He is also known for his aggressive approach to Independence.

Under the command of Netaji, Soldier’s of the Indian national army also called ‘Azad hind fauz’ fought greatly for an independent and undivided India.

Today, on his 125th Birth anniversary there will be a grand exhibition on ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’ at the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Prime minister- Narendra Modi on the occasion remembered Netaji and his contributions to our country and tweeted the following-“May the thoughts and ideas of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose keep inspiring us to work towards building an India that he would be proud of…a strong, confident and self-reliant India, whose human-centric approach contributes to a better planet in the year to come.”

In another tweet PM Modi said-

” Tomorrow India will mark #Prakram Divas, the jay anti of great Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’. A special program is being held at Haripura in Gujarat. Do join the program, which begins at 1 pm.”

In another tweet mentioned the following- “Haripura has a special relation with Netaji. In the Haripura session of 1938, Netaji has taken the presidentship of the Congress party. So, it’s a tribute to him  for his great works for our nation.”
