Delhi Schools Reopening from 18 January, Following Covid-19 safety guidelines
After a long duration gap due to the Covid-19 pandemic, The schools are finally reopening in Delhi. Schools are shut down since March 2020 due to covid-19 spread and lockdown, And is now opening nearly after 10 months gap.
Schools will open from the next week, 18 Jan 2021.
Regarding reopening of schools, the Delhi government issued a circular to the schools mentioning that – “the schools are opening from 18 January considering to the board exams of 10th & 12th students. and classes will run only for 10th & 12th standard students and not for all standards. And with only permission of the Guardians students should be allowed in the school campus otherwise not.
The school administration is said to maintain the records of the students attending the school but no attendance procedure required.”
Education Minister of Delhi – Manish Sisodia tweeted: ” Considering the CBSE Board exams and practicals, the schools for 10th & 12th standard students will be reopened from 18 January. Schools are permitted to open only for the completion of their practicals, Projects, Counselling, and other works. Students will be allowed to come only with their guardian’s permission and will not be forced to come”.
The schools reopening from 18 January must follow Standard Operating Procedures(SOP): According to this procedure,
– No student/staff with COVID-19 symptoms will be allowed on the school campus.
-Thermal screening is must on the each entry gates.
-Arrangement of sensitization everywhere in the labs, classrooms, school entrance, and other places is necessary.
-No school will reopen in the contentment zones and also no students from the contentment zone will be allowed on the school campus.
All the schools reopening must have follow these procedures.
