Rajasthan’s Political Action Is In Supreme Court Now.

Rajasthan legislative assembly speaker CP Joshi has knocked the doors of Supreme Court from the Rajasthan High Court which asked him to not take any action against the 19 rebel MLAs.

Joshi has filed a petition in Supreme Court stating that speaker has the complete authority to send a show-cause notice.

As a Speaker I got an application and to seek advice on it, I issued show-cause notice. If show cause notice won’t be issued by authority, then what’s the job of authority, said the Speaker.

The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday asked the Rajasthan legislative assembly speaker not to act on disqualification notices issued by him to the 19 MLAs till July 24. The high court has fixed 24th July as date for departure order and the hearing before Speaker has also been deferred by Court.

Meanwhile, troubles seem to soar for Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, whose brothers’ farmhouse is being raided by Enforcement Directorate. Enforcement Directorate is conducting searches at several locations in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gujarat and Delhi, over the 2009 fertiliser scam.

Raids being held at the premises of Agrasen Gehlot who is facing a Rs 7 crore Customs penalty in this alleged fertiliser case, officials stated and at the home of former MP Badri Ram Jakhar.
